Synopsis

Giacomo initially hesitates to sell Laura to Count Roselle, prompted by Dantalian's influence and a desire to free slaves. Dantalian reveals his true intention was to find someone with a kind heart, not to buy Laura, and he manipulates Giacomo by understanding his hidden desire to do good. Giacomo, under the influence of a drug, ultimately decides to release Laura to Dantalian. Later, Giacomo's associates talk about how they are envious of the situation, showing indifference to Laura and the potential harm she may face under Count Roselle.
