Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Emperor encountering a talking softshell turtle, initially perceived as a moon, who reveals a hidden inheritance sealed by the previous Emperor within a pond. A fox, identified as the messenger of the ocean god, is able to hear the turtle and helps the Emperor drain the pond to reach the hidden gate. The turtle explains the gate should be opened when the royal family has an emergency and the chapter concludes with the discovery of a royal crest which the Emperor must stand on to open the gate.
