Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Vice Platoon Leader using himself as a lure to distract monsters, giving his platoon time to escape the toxic gas. It is then revealed that the Vice Platoon Leader was using the strategy he thinks the missing Corporal Lee Hyunwook would have used. Later, the Battalion Commander gives orders to the leader to join a combat squad, despite his low rank, but the leader refuses the order out of concern for his squad, leading to a conflict. The chapter concludes with the leader using his unique sword ability, defying orders and rescuing a fallen comrade despite running out of ammunition.
