Synopsis

The chapter sets the stage for a conflict between the North and a Dragon's remnant, with the central Empire poised to exploit any failure. The Northern houses, Baranoff and Byazid, are sending their best to subjugate Lindbloom. They discover that Lindbloom is not behaving like a typical remnant, having gained some form of intelligence and setting a trap, leading to a confrontation in the forest where they realize the tracks are leading north instead of south.
