Synopsis

The chapter focuses on two interconnected storylines. First, the chapter introduces Joseph Bayezid, who despite seemingly being born lowly, quickly gained control as the new Mayor of Soara, using missing people cases to his advantage, shutting down all external spy operations within the area. Concurrently, the chapter explores the North's struggle with a dragon, Lindbloom, where they contemplate various dangerous and problematic traps to lure it, including potentially using barbarians as bait, a method they reject due to the political ramifications and the impact on their long-standing peace with the barbarians. The chapter concludes with the unexpected arrival of the Knights of the Iron Duke, further complicating the already volatile situation.
