Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist, injured and frustrated, contemplating using dangerous pills to recover his energy. He's then relentlessly pursued by Tang Soso, the Tang Clan patriarch's daughter, who is determined to marry him despite his disinterest. Soso reveals that her aggressive pursuit is driven by her desire to avoid a loveless, arranged marriage, viewing marrying the strong protagonist as a path to freedom and control over her life. She manipulates her acquaintance into helping her scheme.
