Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist recovering from his injury within the Tang Clan, surprisingly enjoying their food and hospitality despite their reputation. His laid-back attitude contrasts with the clan's wariness, as they observe his trust. After the patriarch tries to appease him with apologies and offers, the protagonist angrily demands compensation for being stabbed and reveals the Tang Clan's tendency to blame children. He then proceeds to demand a rare elixir, while the patriarch, seeing an opportunity, decides that the next young patriarch must gain the protagonist's favor.
