Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the aftermath of a battle, revealing that a magician previously underestimated, Ian Phage, proved too powerful for Helene to control. Helene, in bad shape, has been skipping meals and has lost against the magician they attempted to control, making the characters realize Ian is far from tame and requires a different method of control. The characters acknowledge that Ian is not a tool to be used but a force to be reckoned with. The chapter also ends with a character arriving late to an important meeting.
