Synopsis

The chapter opens with news of McLain's decisive victory over Silvan in a battle that only lasted a few hours, resulting in heavy casualties for the defeated side. This victory incites concern amongst other lords and pushes them to consider intervention. The protagonist, having mastered a new sword technique, is still unable to surpass a training hurdle, but this is immediately followed by a clash with a seemingly weaker knight who proves to be far more powerful than anticipated. The protagonist struggles to even maintain a defense, finding that his opponent feels like fighting multiple men.
