The McLain knights, confident in their recent advancements, easily overwhelm the Silvan knights. However, they soon encounter crossbow-wielding Silvan forces that inflict heavy casualties, even on the knights. Despite the initial shock, the McLain forces regroup to counter this unexpected threat, while also revealing a connection between Master Logan and their enemy.
The chapter depicts a battle where the McLain knights, having recently surpassed the Silvan knights in power, are facing a prepared Silvan force including crossbow cavalry which proves to be surprisingly effective.
