Synopsis

The chapter begins with the end of a fictional story within the story, 'Epicurean Travels in a Fantasy World.' The protagonist then discusses his plans to return to Earth, sell a book based on his experiences, and how his experiences translate into a need to destabilize the fantasy world he's in. He is then appointed 'Royal Secret Investigator' by the new King, who tasks him with collecting information on various monsters using a treasure map to destabilize the world, and the chapter ends with the protagonist preparing for his new role and his adventures.
