Synopsis

The chapter starts with others questioning what Gu Changge did to scare away a powerful demon. The group continues their journey into the abyss, finding the demonic creatures are fleeing in terror rather than attacking. Gu Changge and Golden Cicada leave the others behind, as Gu Changge reveals his true motives for entering the abyss: to retrieve a lost treasure and ultimately reclaim a drop of his own blood from when he was the Demonic Emperor, which was used to create this abyss. The hidden truth about Buddha Mountain and a rogue monk's treachery is also revealed, setting the stage for a power struggle.
