Synopsis

The chapter begins with the mercenaries recovering from a demonic beast attack, finding a Seed of Darkness and discussing its danger, which may affect some humans. They are then surprised by a powerful demonic beast leading to realization about the need to be careful. The Rank mercenaries take charge, showcasing their superior fighting abilities and organized combat tactics while others provide support and take cover. The chapter concludes with the mercenaries having successfully held back the beast, though it escaped, they decide to address their injuries, but are clearly shaken from the encounter.
