The chapter opens with a mysterious character speaking in a fragmented manner then switching to a more coherent dialogue as he interacts with a group of adventurers. He claims he didn't expect them to be as kind as they are and explains that he is different from previous adventurers. He subtly earns their trust by revealing a trap and showing "respect", while internally celebrating an increase in their likeability. Later it is revealed that this is all a ruse and the character, using an ability called "Apostle of Aphrodite," plans to use his knowledge of their stats to kill them.
