Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist inexplicably freeing captured dragons after a fit of rage. This act exposes a hidden operation where influential families are running a 'dragon scale factory,' continuously harvesting scales from the creatures using healers. The team then discovers the families behind the operation and the method of extraction. This is causing a moral crisis, making the group question their planned course of action and causing them to deviate from their original plan.
