Synopsis

A demonic cult, specifically the Seventh Heaven division, attacks a town, injuring locals and destroying a pavilion the protagonist had stayed at. This spurs the protagonist to improve his skills faster, focusing on analyzing his sparring partner, who uses the Cloud Dragon Great Eight Forms. By observing multiple matches, the protagonist discerns the technique's weakness and determines to fight the cult himself, seeing it as an opportunity to master the Dual Internal Energy Art without interference. He decides to use the coming demonic invasion as cover to achieve his goal.
