Synopsis

Canaria, the Elven Chieftain, expresses surprise at the protagonist's lack of greed, attributing it to the dragon's protection, whom she believes wants to be treated like the protagonist rather than worshipped. She reveals the elves' knowledge of the World Tree and their plan to have Pendrick report the protagonist's existence to the Gold Dragon. The protagonist, while trying to avoid dragon interactions, is obligated to meet with a swordsman and other figures from different tribes, despite his desire for simplicity, adding to his complications.
