Synopsis

Soldiers arrive at Count Amoth's residence, seeking to apprehend Duran, who they've identified as a descendant of the Lusclan, a lineage considered cursed. Duran and his companions are initially confused, with Duran stating he is from a different clan entirely. When negotiations fail, Duran takes the Count hostage before using the distraction to escape with Alita, who may have a past connection to him. The chapter ends with Duran and Alita fleeing while being pursued by the soldiers.
