Synopsis

After finishing a job and receiving payment, the protagonist is unexpectedly asked for a loan by a coworker with a sick wife. His refusal leads to his coworkers becoming suspicious of his abilities, believing he is a superhuman, despite not being one initially, due to their perception of how he handled the job. The protagonist reveals he can switch his traits from mutant to "corruption resistance". He then receives a payout and is perceived as a superhuman due to his performance, leading to higher regard from some and continued intrigue from others.
