Synopsis

The chapter begins with Karina's family realizing she has left home without a word, upset over a perceived lack of attention, and they are worried as she takes off with a considerable amount of their gold. They then find she is headed towards the capital. While her parents angrily try to find her, another scene shows the character nursing another character who is sick and they begin to bond. The juxtaposition suggests a contrast between a neglected family relationship and a new one based on caring.
