Synopsis

The chapter explores Li's complicated feelings towards her younger sister Arvelia and the family doctor, Nocturn. Initially, Li is touched by Nocturn's kindness, mistaking it for genuine care, until she realizes that his actions are centered around protecting Arvelia's well-being. This realization, coupled with a past incident where Li was slapped for expressing resentment towards her younger sibling, leads Li to understand her family's and doctor's prioritization of Arvelia, causing her to feel neglected and jealous.
