Synopsis

Ghislain Perdium, a young noble, seeks to hire the Cerberus mercenaries, led by Kaor, to explore the Forest of Beasts. His abrasive greeting and lack of understanding of the forest's dangers anger Kaor's crew. After an attempted negotiation fails, Ghislain challenges Kaor to a traditional mercenary duel, a single-dagger fight with tied arms, where the loser becomes the winner's dog, a challenge Kaor cannot refuse due to mercenary customs.
