Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist addressing rumors about executing traitors, revealing he seeks to avoid conflict with a Knight Captain. He then asks his father for permission to explore the Forest of Beasts but is denied. Undeterred, he reveals his plan to his aide, explaining he seeks to exploit the runestones within, a valuable mineral. He plans to hire a large group of mercenaries, specifically targeting the infamous Cerberus mercenary group, and asserts that he will pick the best personally to maintain control.
