Synopsis

The chapter uncovers that Marquis Branwell, not Ducelle Krite, is the true head of the Krite Merchant Association, having schemed against the Steelguards for financial gain. Meanwhile, Erin, the new lord, demonstrates his strategic thinking, choosing to secure the full loyalty of his knight Haphael before accessing the treasury. Erin and Haphael undergo a cringe-worthy oath of loyalty, but ultimately solidify their bond. The chapter ends with Erin discovering massive debts owed to both the Damien and Krite Merchant Associations.
