Synopsis

The protagonist, seemingly a reluctant hero, is assigned a guard named Serajard, a skilled but prideful desert princess, who appears to have been sent to seduce him. He intentionally provokes Serajard into attacking him as part of a plan to make her give up on her mission. Meanwhile, the chapter reveals a water project using a deep underground tunnel to bring water from a perpetual snowfield, and the protagonist participates in construction preparation, using sleeping magic. The locals are unhappy with the project and its city people.
