Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist facing a massive merman force, attempting a disastrous song that reveals his hostile intentions. They barely escape and decide to seek guidance to reach the merman kingdom. They reach a city they've helped prosper and hire a whaling ship captain who claims to have been to the merman kingdom before, but is known for his tall tales. The captain explains that mermen judge intentions by true feelings expressed through singing, leading to the ship setting sail.
