Synopsis

Gangyu unexpectedly confronts a character (Jia) after executing all the prisoners on sub-levels, claiming he did so because they were inhuman beasts deserving death. He explains his actions by referencing the futility of rehabilitation and the necessity of killing these criminals. Jia argues for due process and the value of even criminals' lives having stories, but Gangyu counters with a bleak view of ideals being crushed by evil, stating he doesn't care about being a hero or a corrections officer, just ending the cycle of violence. He further justifies this by noting that no prisoner could have been wrongfully convicted given the existence of psychometrics.
