Synopsis

The chapter begins with exposition about the complex and strained relationship between the Reinhäfer and Imperial families, setting a tense tone. Nox then encounters Princess Penelope, who invites him to the capital. He is wary of her motives as it seems like a trap given his family's conflict with the Divine family that controls Talonfeather. Despite his subordinate's concerns about the inherent danger, Nox decides to accept the invitation, recognizing he can be summoned anytime, and asserting his control.
