Synopsis

Professor Ras explains his research is motivated by the death of his son, who died due to his weakness, thus needing a weak apprentice. The protagonist, unimpressed by the tragic story, refuses and is then introduced to the return of Garen von Reinhafer, causing turmoil in the Reinhafer family. This sets the stage for the introduction of Nox von Reinhafer, a talented new student, who also declines the professor's apprenticeship offer.
