The chapter opens with a group of thugs threatening a civilian, only to be interrupted by a student who claims their actions are only spared by the grace of his instructor. Later, two students, Dokgo Joon and Heonwon Gang, are forced to partner for patrols, immediately clashing over their differing approaches and stubborn personalities. They then encounter the same thugs from the beginning of the chapter, with the two students arguing over their roles.
