Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist looking into One-Armed Jack's hidden assets and the missing girls, with his friend from Struma joining to help. Their investigation takes them to a butcher shop that seems to be a front for human trafficking, where they confront the owners. The protagonist's friend, meanwhile, seems different, more formal and noble, causing some lighthearted friction. The chapter ends with a blacksmith excitedly agreeing to repair the protagonist's sword, revealing his past battles and a renewed passion.
