Synopsis

Zuo Fan struggles to find his way in the chaotic monster den of City S, hampered by poisonous miasma and the destruction of landmarks. He learns of the dangers of A-rank monsters and the spreading miasma. He encounters a group of thugs trying to steal from a child, and is saved by an 'ace guide' from a group called Dark Star who claims to not be a thief. The chapter ends with the guide receiving a message about eliminating a target, suggesting she has hidden motives.
