Synopsis

Zuo Fan learns that his father's harsh sentence was due to the catastrophic monster outbreak in City S, and the only place to find evidence of his innocence is within the now monster-infested city. He's been tested and is supported by Commander Ding, his uncle, who plans a secret operation and reminds him he has a place only he can open. Zuo Fan makes plans to sneak out of Jining City at night, and is unexpectedly joined by a mysterious, dog-like creature who seems to understand him.
