Synopsis

The chapter revolves around two main plot threads: Bayn seeking help due to an alleged harasser and Vikir, accused of being the "Night Hound", being indirectly defended by Dollres who emphasizes a lack of solid evidence. We see the academy students' morning routine and how Vikir is admired by his classmates who resolve to volunteer alongside him despite his desire to be alone. Vikir appears to be gaining influence amongst his classmates and the popular opinion of him contrasts against the ongoing accusations against him.
