Synopsis

Vikir returns to the Red Owl Mountain and is surprised to find a gold statue erected in his honor, depicting him as a great hero who saved the Morg family. He discovers that his disappearance caused turmoil between the Baskerville and Morg families, and that his actions were exaggerated and credited to him as if he was the sole cause of victory against the Barbarians. He also learns Camus Morg withdrew from the Hall of Light to study dark magic and has an odd relationship with the head of the Hall of Darkness.
