Synopsis

After receiving care for his injuries, the 'slave' surprises his captor by asking to be taught archery. The chapter then shifts to a Ballak hunting ceremony where hunters are blessed by a shaman and receive dog collars, followed by an argument among hunters about the protagonist being a burden. Tensions rise when the protagonist’s captor defends him, asserting her ownership, and threatening anyone who harms him.
