Geumryong and the Southern Edge sect struggle with the appearance of Chung Myung. After many of their members are quickly defeated, the elder is worried about the potential threat Chung Myung poses to their sect's future. He tasks Geumryong with defeating or severely harming Chung Myung to prevent him from reaching his full potential and becoming an obstacle to their sect's ambition. The elder explains the difference between a genius and a being that breaks the laws of nature, and that Chung Myung is the latter.
The Southern Edge Sect is shocked by Chung Myung's overwhelming strength and a plan is hatched to eliminate him before he becomes a threat. Geumryong is tasked with defeating him, with the elder's urging that it's crucial for the sect's future.
