Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist effortlessly deflecting a soul-seeking dagger attack, an incredible feat which shocks onlookers. He's challenged by the Tang Clan Patriarch to withstand ten of his attacks, a trial meant to prove his strength and potentially establish him as the strongest of the new generation. A character observes the protagonist's determination and is convinced he wouldn't fight if he didn't believe he had a chance at victory, deciding to place her trust in him. The Patriarch reveals he'll use the same technique as his son that was previously destroyed by the protagonist.
