Synopsis

The chapter opens with a task force struggling against a robust defense, leading to a discussion on their tactical positions based on individual strengths. The narrative shifts to Black Lespedeza's internal monologue about his past struggles and finding meaning in hard work to survive, now using that drive to keep fighting despite serious injury.
