Synopsis

The chapter reveals that the protagonist's companion, Bl Gwang, secretly fed him small doses of poison as a child to build immunity to 'Sayak,' a deadly poison. This was done to save him from the fate of the first 'Phoenix,' and to avoid addiction. Bl Gwang then attempted to rescue the protagonist from the 'Hwaguksa', which failed due to the protagonist's drug-induced state. The chapter concludes with a new character arriving on the scene and expressing a disturbing interest in the physique of a female character, while also assessing male combat potential.
