Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Vice-Captain, Paul Lance, being summoned by Captain Damfil, who praises Paul's swordsmanship. We then learn that the Vice-Captain was initially seen as a questionable appointment by some within the order. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince is undergoing sword training, expressing frustration with his progress. He is then encouraged by his instructor, who reveals the Prince is actually improving remarkably well, even faster than a renowned magic user, Ian. The chapter ends with the Captain asking his subordinate to keep an eye on the Vice-Captain who seems to be having a difficult time.
