Synopsis

The chapter provides a flashback to a war between the Ivory Tower magicians and the Dragontans, where the protagonist, Mitchell Greenriver, played a crucial role. He lead the high class magicians to defeat the Dragontans and gargoyles, establishing peace. Now, in his new life, the protagonist finds an old gargoyle and tries to understand a dragon language he was once familiar with, indicating a shift in his abilities that will affect his time-traveling powers. He has also identified a potential issue with his powers as a result of this.
