Synopsis

The chapter opens with a monologue about a character's past conquests and desires, before shifting to a dinner banquet where Prince Callian is suddenly poisoned. Accusations fly, primarily targeting the Queen, with the narrative suggesting a possible prior poisoning. However, several other princes attest to Callian's good health, casting doubt on the accusations and hinting at a potential scheme to frame the Queen or an alternate poisoning method. The chapter ends with the arrival of a priest and someone leaving for a different palace.
