Synopsis

The kingdom is grappling with a drought in the western lands, causing conflict between villages over a limited water source. The chapter introduces the idea of using an ancient, previously poisoned, waterway system to resolve the drought, but this is complicated by the fact the mountain lake that feeds these systems is being used by the king's son. Also of note is the escape of a prisoner named Krom, and the royal officials are planning on capturing him again, along with figuring out how to deal with the water crisis.
