Synopsis

The chapter opens with a character describing a past incident where their eyes were sliced out, leading them to feign blindness. They arrive at the gateway to the East Village with companions where they observe widespread theft by officials and overhear rumors of copies of the "Book of the Divine King" being circulated. The group is then involved in a conflict as authorities search for the book, leading to a chaotic scene where the group is potentially left to face monsters outside the gate.
