A young man named Azadin, rumored to be talentless and cursed, obtains a piece of the 'Book of the Divine King'. Two individuals, Midiam and Ishmael, appear claiming to be his assistants from the Holy Land, but Midiam quickly challenges Azadin for his Herald position. Azadin's unexpected display of skill in catching Midiam's arrows mid-air and his subsequent sharp reprimand surprise the newcomers, and he demonstrates a commanding presence despite initial low expectations. Midiam, undeterred, officially challenges Azadin to a fight.
The chapter introduces a 'cursed' Herald, Azadin, who unexpectedly demonstrates skill by catching arrows mid-air. He is then challenged for his position by Midiam.
