Synopsis

The chapter depicts a world ravaged by chaos with starvation, undead, and lawlessness, forcing people into nomadic existence. A Margrave promises tax relief and resources in exchange for a grimoire, while a conflict intensifies as the Herald Clan, seeking to escape their curse, attacks the Kozel forces. The leader of the Kozel clan, unfazed by his son's severe injuries, chooses to send in more troops. A member of the Emperor's Heralds laments his current plight as they all are being despised by the people now that the Emperor has died and they are being driven by their needs and their search for the book.
