The chapter opens with a character being warned and then confronting an upperclassman. A squad competition is then introduced where each team receives a bracelet that breaks after taking too much damage, and the goal is for the lowest-ranked squad to last 5 minutes. The main character, a squad leader, instructs his team to simply block and protect him instead of attacking. He faces another upperclassman and reveals that his Edeya is just a normal dagger, which disappoints the other character.
A squad competition begins, with the main character's F-rank squad tasked with simply surviving for five minutes. The main character reveals his seemingly worthless dagger Edeya.
