The chapter reveals the group was affected by a Divine Seal placed by the God of Dreams, which caused the netherworld ghouls to become immune to physical attacks. Chen Zhiliao explains Divine Seals and how they can be broken, apparently by killing the person the seal is tied to, which he does to himself to break it. They are then faced with a new threat: an 'Eye of the Netherworld' continuously summoning large numbers of ghouls with increased power, forcing the group to defend Chen Zhiliao as he tries to destroy it.
The group discovers they were trapped by a Divine Seal, and to break it, Chen Zhiliao had to seemingly 'kill' himself. They now face a large number of powerful netherworld ghouls summoned by an 'Eye of the Netherworld'.
