Synopsis

The chapter starts with a chaotic fight, revealing that an attack that should have hit a character was deflected by a clone. The group rushes back to Grandpa Oubre, who reveals that the 'guardians' they encountered are actually village protectors, Wind Mage Hicks and Shadow Mage Lucius, who attacked them due to a misunderstanding of their intentions to leave the village. Furthermore, it is revealed that the peace of the town is bought through the sacrifice of innocent lives to appease monsters, shocking the protagonists and leading to a confrontation with Grandpa Oubre.
